Bikes, Bothies & Booze Adventure Kit List
With only 2 days until I set off for my epic Scottish bikepacking adventure I've almost finished packing my kit. Having already been on a couple of bikepacking trips I have a basic kit list but trying to adjust it for a 3 month trip has been a challenge. I obviously can't carry 3 months worth of food so my plan is to visit shops every 2-3 days to grab snacks, porridge sachets and lunch food. I'll have 3 days worth of ration packs with me in case of emergency and can either buy pasta/rice to cook for dinner or eat in a pub along the way. My daily budget for food is £10 so it'll be interesting to see what I end up eating, hence I'm taking some multi-vitamins for a little boost along the way.
I'll also have a very limited set of toiletries with me - travel wash, wet wipes, toilet roll, sun lotion, moisturiser, toothbrush and toothpaste. It's amazing how little you can get by on when you have to carry it!
Not long now.... the countdown has began! :-D
