Just keep pedalling

It's funny that when I write these blogs I always tend to forget the pain of the bad bits of the day. The last few days of riding have been really enjoyable, the change in scenery here has really refreshed me and I am one of those people who can be in awe of the mountains and greenery and then round a corner to more mountains and still be taken in by their beauty. For me there can never to be too many mountain scenes! The only downside of these gorgeous mountains however is that they tend to make the riding rather hilly which can be a bit of an effort to say the least.

In the last 48 hours I've been drenched by rain, drenched by sweat and engulfed and bitten by midges (even though I was wearing a headnet and the supposed Skin So Soft miracle midge preventer). Those were the bad bits. It might not seem so at the time but the good bits far outweigh the bad ones. They say a picture is worth a thousand words so I'll stop typing and let the photos speak!
